The services that we provide in Wigan North are made up of mainly supported tenancies. This can range from one person living on their own but more often people sharing their property with another or a few other people.
Our focus has been developing individually designed services even where people live together, alongside working towards people having more choice and control over where they live and who with.
Over the last twelve months we have developed a community support team, this team works with people who live with their parents/family and have less intense support hours, or are trying out providers to access their ability/capability when thinking about the future.
The community support team work with people who need from a few hours a week to some more substantial hours of support. We work alongside the person their family to co–create a service for the person given the amount of funding that is available.
