Services Overview (Wigan North)

Direct support workers.

A process called person centred recruitment is used to employ staff to work directly with people. This takes into account what qualities the person is looking for, what skills would be needed, what personalities characteristics would be good to have and any common shared interests that would be good to share.

Team Leaders

Each service has a team leader who is responsible to ensuring that the staff understand and can effectively carry out their role in relation to the people who use our services, their relatives and friends, the company and other bodies who hold us accountable for our actions. This can be the local authority, CQC, Supporting people and our own internal quality assessment.

Service Manager

A service manager’s position still has direct responsibility for a team of staff but additional responsibilities in supporting and managing a few of team leaders they are part of the Senior management team and take part in the senior management duty rota.

Deputy Head Of Operations.

The Deputy Head Of Operations has responsibility for a number of the team leaders this includes the Community support team leaders.

Head Of Operations

The role of the Head Of Operations is to support and mentor the Service managers and Deputy head of Operations. To engage in a more strategic role.
