As a network we are committed and our aim is to provide care and support to individual people who present challenges, we do this by working and implementing personal centred  positive behaviour support plans and strategies .

This helps us as a network to promote positive behaviour support and reduce problematic behaviour and incidents within services.

We have our own dedicated fully qualified trainers in the ARC model ( assess – respond – care ) intervention training alongside, applied behaviour analysis and Autism training , who all  have input to individual risk management/support plans. Through this process this allows us to support and plan for individual people in the least restrictive manner and best interest and help to promote independent living, and access to their local community .

Comments and compliments about IAS Postive Behaviour Support:

"Staff keep me involved in all aspects of Jonathan's life.  They are very caring and always do their utmost to make sure Jonathan is happy and well cared for.  They are very professional and experienced with any behavioural problems that may arise and always try to identify if there is a reason why Jonathan may have become upset.

Jonathan has a full life and has enjoyed several holidays which have always been a great time for him. Annual reviews look at what is working and maybe what might not be working for Jonathan and cover every aspect of Jonathan's life. Staff always listen and that is very important to me.

Jonathan loves all the staff and I feel that he is in a caring and loving house. Also staff have mainly been consistent and that is very important to Jonathan. I have every confidence that Jonathan is well looked after and safe. This is so important to me as a Mum to know my son is in good hands."

"Andrew has lived in supported accommodation for 9 years. Right from day one they have worked alongside myself from seeing him through transition to where he is today also being mindful how difficult it was for me and other family members.

With such caring and enthusiastic staff Andrew has achieved so many goals and staff are always learning new things about Andrew.

Andrew has faced difficult times through illness and losing his mobility being given negative results by medics but staff never gave up and were always there for him. Staff are always very professional and make suggestions to help Andrew through his rehabilitation.

All meetings and reviews are always positive discussing what works for Andrew and what doesn’t.

Andrew has shocked and surprised us all with how far he has come and this is because  I.A.S have built such a caring, trustworthy, enthusiastic and supportive team around him.

Andrew would not be where he is today without them to help him live such a fulfilled independent life and Andrews smile says it all. It gives me such peace of mind to see Andrew so well cared for many thanks to a wonderful team and manager”
